Little Sis Joins Cycling

My sister just recently purchased her first road bike! We'll be hitting the pavement soon to get her up to speed with the basics. After that we'll try a beginner ride with the OC Rebel Riders. One of our plans is to help create a B-Group with Velo Viet to welcome new and recovering riders to the team. We already have several interested cyclists, and are looking forward to attracting more.

Takashimaya - N.Y.

I first heard about Takashimaya 8 years ago when I collected a printer sample of their annual report. The imagery and color palette blew me away. Their products, often imported, span both eastern and western aesthetic.

Vintage Matchbox Labels

I found these "TV Kittehs" in a flickr album dedicated to vintage matchbox labels. The album includes a ton of great retro illustrations and is definitely worth a peek.

'58 Dodge Town Wagon

I found this picture on the web a few months ago and just fell in love. Probably not the most efficient way to travel, but it's sure stylish.

KnitMap

Need a fiber fix while out-of-town?
KnitMap is like a Mapquest for yarn stores. It's awesome. It covers locations in the US, Canada, UK and most of Europe. You can search for stores based on a variety of criteria: whether they offer classes, snacks, or wifi, among other stuff. You can even rate a store's attributes, leave comments, upload photos and create a list of favorites. If you're a fiber freak like me, you'll want to bookmark this one for sure.  check it out

Club des Cingles du Mont Ventoux

A club of just over 2700 (only 50 Americans) have climbed Mont Ventoux from all 3 sides. Weather permitting, we hope to add 1 more to the list on our honeymoon.

Sexy Sexy Bicycle

I like killing flies

Awesome movie. If you have netflix it's available on instant watch.

Movie info
Shopsin's is a tiny family-owned and run Greenwich Village restaurant that has become a neighborhood institution, mostly because of its "character" of a chef, Kenny. Irratible and sometimes brilliant, he serves upmore than 900 different items, including hundreds of soups and ethnic comfort foods. But his strict rules, including a prohibition against a party of five or more, is what really makes Shopsin's one-of-a-kind. A true kitchen philosopher, Kenny's observations about life, politics, food, and sex give this film a vitality that doesn't let up. But after 35 years, Shopsin's has lost its lease and must face a difficult decision.

MTV HD Crow

This spot has been around for a bit, but it still captivates me every time I see it. It reminds me of some of my favorites: Edgar Allen Poe, Edward Gorey & Nightmare Before Christmas.

The Surly Steamroller

Another lust-worthy fixie street bike.
